What is an SKU?
SKU means stock keeping unit. It is a short code you invent for each product or variant so you can track it in chat, sheets, and stock.
How does this generator build the code?
It takes letters and digits from the product name and each attribute, keeps the character count you set, joins them with your separator, and optionally appends a sequence number.
How is an SKU different from a barcode?
An SKU is the human-readable code. A barcode is a scannable picture of a value, often that same SKU. Generate the SKU here, then print a barcode with the barcode tool if you need stickers.
Should every colour and size get its own SKU?
Yes, if you stock them separately. One SKU per sellable variant keeps packing and counts clear when orders arrive in WhatsApp.
Can I change the pattern later?
Yes. Adjust characters, separator, or case, then generate new SKUs. Existing list rows stay until you remove or clear them.
